Kim Thomson - Mentoring Workshop

The Bare Bones of Business

⏰ 2.00pm - 5.00pm

📍 The Mount Without, the Gallery (access by stairs)

In today’s world, technology makes it easy to do everything ourselves — from making jewellery and building websites to marketing and taking professional photos. But with endless advice, tips, algorithms, and SEO strategies, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

Amid all the noise, we often forget the most important basics of running a successful business and making sales. This workshop is designed to cut through the confusion and focus on the essential foundations you need to grow confidently.

Join Kim for a fun, practical session where we’ll simplify and clarify the key parts of your business, as well as help you identify the areas you wish to research and build upon further. There will be plenty of time for questions, personalised feedback, and advice tailored to your needs.

Whether you’re a self-employed maker or planning to start your own business someday, this session will help you get back to the core principles and build a strong, solid base for your success.

Important Information:

  • Spaces are very limited – only for 7 people - book early to avoid disappointment.
  • Please bring a notebook and pen to make notes.
  • Please note: the workshop space does not have step-free access. If you have any accessibility needs or questions, feel free to get in touch.
  • You will need to also have a ticket to the Get Stoned Gem Fair to attend this workshop.
  • We look forward to welcoming you for an afternoon of discovery!
